The 10 km of the Quays

Last month, Anne and I ran the 10 km des Quais of Bordeaux.

This race, held every year on November 11th, brings together many professional and amateur runners, in the ideal spot of the Bordeaux Quais.

The “Quais” (Quays) are my daily training spot, so it seemed logical to join this race, as it was also for a good cause: part of the inscription fees were donated to the association Parentraide Cancer. It reinforces our commitment to Action Medical Research for who we are running the Marathon in April.

With a bright Bordeaux sun (a welcome change from last year when we ran under the pouring rain), we crossed the Quais des Sports, followed by the Pont de Pierre then came back on the left bank to go past the Quai des Marques, with a finish in front of the brand new Ponton d’Honneur of the city.

10 km ran in just under an hour – an honorable time, not too fast, not too slow, and that continues our preparation for the London Marathon next year!

Thanks to Florent, our photographer for the day!
